A Director and Artist

One of the originating members of the successful CAMMO and Sony Music group 4TROOPS, Ron Henry and the CAMMO team have pointed his career in a new direction as the organization’s first Inspirational Division Director.

In his role, Ron is charged with developing programs that entail inspirational material and performances that will benefit veterans, service members, and their families. He works closely with all other CAMMO departments to develop and enable the education and artistic development of CAMMO's artists, technicians and writers who are interested in participating in the Inspirational genre.

Ron comes to this position well-prepared. He recently retired as a U.S. Army Staff Sergeant after a 20-year military career, spending his final seven years in the dangerous position of Transporter and Transportation Manager in the treacherous roads of Iraq. Yet he still found the time to be an active worship leader and choir director while deployed.

At home, he led the Army music group “Transportation Express,” lifting the morale of the military community on his base, as well as those families whose military parents were serving multiple deployments.

After becoming a member of 4 Troops, Mr. Henry and his new comrades appeared on Comedy Central’s Rally to Restore Sanity, The View, Larry King and VH1’s Don’t Forget the Lyrics - raising $50,000 for charities. The group also performed at Game 4 of the 2010 World Series. More recently, they sang the National Anthem in Chicago at the Bulls vs Bengals game.

As CAMMO’s Inspirational Division Director, Ron has even greater opportunities to touch the lives of people inside and outside of CAMMO with his music and his message.

CAMMO's Mission

There are two prongs to the CAMMO mission:

  • To create music-based therapeutic programming and outlets for service members, veterans and family members
  • To train and educate service members, veterans, and their families in music career opportunities including artist development

This organization is on target with its mission because it believes in the power of music to restore, inspire, and open doors to our veterans and service members. With that said, the financial contributions of our donors have been a tremendous help and we ask for your continued support as the services rendered by CAMMO expand. If you've never given, we ask that you consider the life-changing effects your gift will have on a U.S. veteran or service member suffering from PTSD or TBI. Every dollar counts!
